Notice
of Public Hearing
The
Columbia City Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing on Tuesday, May
13, 2008 beginning at or about 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall,
1840 Second Street, Columbia City, Oregon, to receive written and oral
testimony on an application for a variance. Specifically, the applicant is seeking a variance
to permit an accessory building to be located in the front yard. The application was
submitted by property owners, Mike and Michelle Langdon, for property
identified on Columbia County Tax Assessor Map 5128-011 as Tax Lot 201. The subject property is generally located at 2240 The Strand.
Approval of the
application is subject to the applicant demonstrating compliance with
applicable requirements of Columbia City Development Code 7.10, 7.45, 7.92,
7.135, 7.140, and 7.162. Following the public hearing, the Planning Commission
may take action on the proposal. That action may include approval of the
application as presented, approval of a revised proposal based on testimony in
the public hearings, or denial.
Interested
persons are invited to attend the public hearing and present oral and written
testimony. Copies of all documents related to the application are available for
review at the City Hall located at 1840 Second Street, Columbia City, Oregon.
Copies can also be purchased at cost. If you would like to comment but cannot
attend the hearing, submit comments in writing to City Hall by 4:00 p.m. on the
date of the hearing. The staff report will be available for review at City Hall
on May 6, 2008.

The Columbia City Council
will hold a public hearing on May 15, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, 1840 Second Street, Columbia City, Oregon. The purpose of the hearing is to gather
public testimony relating to proposed changes to the commercial and industrial
sewer usage fees based upon recent winter water usage history.
Information about the
proposed fee changes is available for public inspection at the City Hall, Monday
through Friday, during regular business hours.
Written input will be accepted prior to the hearing and written and oral
input will be accepted during the public hearing.

Notice of Budget Committee Meeting
A public meeting of the
Budget Committee of the City of Columbia City, Columbia County, State of
Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009
will be held at the Columbia City Hall, 1840 Second Street, Columbia City,
Oregon. The meeting will take place on
the 19th day of May 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to
receive comment from the public on the budget.
A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after
May 16th, 2008 at Columbia City Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00
p.m.
This is a public meeting
where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and
discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.
