ORDINANCE NO. 513
AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE BUILDING OFFICIAL OF COLUMBIA CITY WITH THE POWER AND DUTY TO PREPARE AND ENFORCE STOP WORK ORDERS IN RELATION TO VIOLATIONS OF THE CITY’S ORDINANCES AND STATE LAWS AND THE BUILDING CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has designated one person to serve as the City Building Official and the State of Oregon has passed legislation requiring building officials to be granted the powers and responsibilities to prepare and enforce stop work orders,
THE CITY OF COLUMBIA CITY ORDAINS that the person serving as the City’s Building Official shall be given such powers.
Passed by the council and approved by the mayor July 17, 1997.
