ORDINANCE NO. 418
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING WEIGHT LIMITS FOR THE "L" STREET BRIDGE AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
THE CITY OF COLUMBIA CITY does ordain as follows:
Section 1. [Weight Limit.] No motor vehicle, object or thing which has a gross weight exceeding 15 tons shall be driven, pushed, pulled, carried or otherwise transported across the railroad overpass bridge which is located on "L" Street.
Section 2. [Violations.] Any person, firm, corporation or owner who shall drive or move, or who shall cause or permit to be driven or moved, any vehicle or combination of vehicles in violation of this ordinance shall be punished as provided herein.
Section 3. [Penalty.] Violation of this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed $250. In addition thereto, any person found guilty of violating this ordinance shall be liable for any damage done to the bridge as a result of the violation of this ordinance.
